What You'll Experience

Standup Paddle Board (SUP) Yoga is a peaceful and fun way to take your practice outdoors and onto a floating mat. This class is designed to help you feel grounded and stable in this calming, yet empowering, flow, whether you’ve had experience or none at all!

Practicing yoga while floating on water, oftentimes with wildlife, is a magical experience that cannot be explained in words. Be prepared to have fun and get wet! We look forward to having you join us for this special practice!

Itenerary

We begin all of our classes on land with a few minutes of basic SUP instruction and stretching, ensuring all of our clients feel comfortable on a paddleboard. We will then paddle to a peaceful location to anchor together to our Floating Yoga Studio!

Ride The Wind x Ocracoke Island Yoga

Your instructor, Savana Harwood, owns and operates Ocracoke Island Yoga. She has been teaching yoga on Ocracoke Island since 2016, and was the first yoga instructor to officially lead group classes on the Ocracoke Beach. After two years of teaching outdoors she decided to open the island’s first Yoga studio located on Back Road.  

She received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2016 & SUP Yoga Certification in 2020 from Hot Asana Yoga University of Southern Pines.

Savana enjoys creating classes that take yoga to another level of FUN on the water (SUP Yoga), in the air (Aerial Yoga), in the brewery (Pints & Poses), and even in a glow in the dark studio (Glow with the Flow)! 
 
Her teaching style revolves around making yoga accessible for everyone no matter what age, size or experience. She finds that the most important part of yoga is not what it looks like on the outside, but how it feels on the inside as the key to an enjoyable and sustainable practice that will stay with you for the rest of your life!

FAQ's

Please wear clothes that can get wet!

Paddleboard, paddle, lifejacket, and anchor are included in the class.

This is a beginner friendly class. All levels are welcome to join!

Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure we can leave on time. We try to ensure that the 1.5 hours are spent in the water. To save time, please fill out the liability waiver prior to arrival.

 

Should our instructor cancel a session due to weather or other safety considerations you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule, set up a gift card for future uses, or receive a refund.

All those who sign up for paddleboard yoga should know how to swim. If you do not know how to swim, please do not sign up for paddleboard yoga.

Cancellations made within 24 hours are fully refunded. All other cancellations will be refunded based on our ability to fill your seats. No-shows will not be refunded.
